I have (finally) updated most of this website.  I still need to take some “beauty” shots of some products and get those up-to-date.  The biggest changes are as follows:

• Please feel free to contact me at acornworksfiberATgmailDOTcom; the prior email got hacked.  I don’t know why people do that, nor what they expect to get from it!
• I am no longer offering any skirting services (effective May 1, 2025).  All fleeces need to be skirted before sending them for processing.
• Sadly, I do have to raise the rates for services.  As you’re well aware, utilities and other expenses have gone up for all of us.  The new rates will take effect July 1, 2025.

Need a fiber fix?  I can help you with that, too.  I’ll be taking some new pictures and getting those posted for you to shop from home.  I do not have any retail space, but if you’re local, feel free to contact me and we can open up the bins together.

I’d like to have a page available for any shearers to list their contact information.  If you, or someone you know, would like to be listed, let me know.

Since opening in 2011, my customers have sent me everything from super-fine wools to coarse, primitive wools, alpaca, llama, angora, mohair, cashgora and even dog hair (from really big, loveable Scottish Deerhounds).  It’s like Christmas when opening up what my customers have sent to me and turning it into the best possible roving or batts for them. Blending various fibers and colors sure hasn’t gotten old for me yet.  Yeah, I know, I’m gushing, totally uncharacteristic of me.
